An extract from PREFACE :

A 17 year old girl I was. Going to a boarding college, which was quite unknown. Why? Because everyone knew boarding school but no one new about boarding colleges as they were recently started.

I am Indian girl named Aaliyah.M.Prabhakar. I came to a lonely state named Dampmark in U.S when I was just 3 years old. I know how to speak in my native language(Hindi) but really don’t know much about India, except for it’s dance forms. Dance forms? Yup, dance forms because I love dancing. I have won many trophies in school and also competitions. My aunt Sam, who’s a young women aged 23, bank manager, our neighbor and my best friend, always tells me that I was born to dance. 

I have dark brown hair and jet black eyes. My mom always told me that having jet black eyes was quite lucky and my father told me that jet black eyed people are very clever. Well, I didn’t mind if I had both the qualities or even one of them. I am quite a tall girl with the height of 5’2’’.  Strong built and even heavy built, but I always looked quite slim in the clothes I wore. My hair are quite wavy from the bottom but don’t have any waves at the top, near my scalp. 

I had the dream to go to boarding school since 8^th grade but couldn’t as I was entering 9^th and it was quite hard for a 9^th grader to come in a boarding school. But as soon as I heard the news that there was a boarding college in Campbell City, I couldn’t wait for my 10^th to get over. After it was over I begged my parents to send me, and here I am, going to a boarding college named:
